Short Bio

Geping Liu is a Professor and doctoral supervisor, Dean of School of Educational Technology, Department of Education, Southwest University, Director of Chongqing University Engineering Research Center for Smart Education, and Head of the national first-class undergraduate program construction site.

In recent years, he has presided over 10 national and provincial research projects; published more than 60 papers in CSSCI/SSCI/SCI journals and international academic conferences. His research areas include: intelligent learning environment, online education system, education informatization strategy, etc.

He received one second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award in Higher Education in 2018; one special prize and one first prize of Higher Education Teaching Achievement in Chongqing in 2021.

From 2007 to 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) , President of the Society of International Chinese in Educational Technology (SICET); Member of the Teaching Guidance Sub-Committee of Educational Technology in Higher Education Schools, Ministry of Education. He is also the vice chairman of Education Informatization Branch of Chinese Higher Education Society; chairman of Chongqing Computer Security Society; chairman of Education Technology Committee of Chongqing Higher Education Society.
