Short Bio

Weitong Li graduated from Manhattan School of Music and China Conservatory of Music. She studied with renowned vocality educators Professor Tielin Jin and Professor Joan Patenaude-Yarnell. She has won awards such as the Best Female Voice Award at International Verdian Voices Competition City of Busseto and the Second Prize at the Rome International Music Festival Vocal Competition. Dr. Li has held solo concerts in various locations in North America and China, and has toured North America and Europe multiple times. Over the years, she has focused on research in vocal phonetics, publishing the monograph Selections of Bellini's Art Songs - Phonetic Transcription and Translation Word-for-Word. She also hosted the Ministry of Education project Theoretical Construction and Practical Research on the Pronunciation Correction of Chinese Vocal Music Lyrics from the Perspective of Vocal Phonetics.
