Short Bio

Dr. Yuchen Shi works as an associate professor and assistant to director at the Institute of Curriculum and Instruction, East China Normal University. She is also the deputy director of International Classroom Analysis Lab at ICI. She obtained her Master’s degree from Harvard Graduate school of education and her PhD degree from Teachers college, Columbia University. Her research focuses on the cognitive development of children and adolescents, classroom discourse analysis, issue-drive pedagogy, and instructional design based on classroom argumentation and dialogue.
