Short Bio

Dr. Xiaowei HAO is an assistant professor at the School of Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He graduated with a Bachelor degree from the Philosophy, Politics and Economics program at Peking University's Yuanpei College. He subsequently earned a Ph.D. degree in Economics of Education at Peking University's Graduate School of Education. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Stanford Center for China Economy and Institutions and later at Columbia University's Teachers College. His research encompasses economics of education and educational finance, with current focus on world-class university studies, basic education development, evaluation of secondary schools, as well as education and economic development.
