Short Bio

Song Jia, Associate Professor at the Research Institute for International and Comparative Education, Shanghai Normal University, serves as the Program Director for the Master's program in Comparative Education and a Master's Supervisor. She is also a researcher at the UNESCO Teacher Education Centre and a council member of the Comparative Education Society of China Education Association. Previously, she worked at the Teacher Affairs Department of the Ministry of Education and was a visiting scholar at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, Stanford University. Her research focuses on Comparative Higher Education, Higher Education Policy, International Education Policy, and Global Teacher Policy. In recent years, she has led over 10 research projects, including National Social Science Foundation Youth Project in Education, Shanghai Philosophy and Social Sciences Youth Project, and commissioned projects from relevant departments under the Ministry of Education. Multiple policy advisory reports she authored have been adopted by government authorities.
