Short Bio

Xi Yang is an Associate Professor at the Center for World-Class Universities, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research focuses on university research policy, research talent development, and the role of world-class universities in socio-economic growth. She has led projects supported by China's National Natural Science Fund and National Social Science Fund. She has over 30 publications, including books chapters, and articles in leading journals such as Higher Education and Studies in Higher Education. She also provides expert consultancy to the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Her awards include the "Pujiang Talent" award,  "Top 1% Most Cited Scholars in China (CNKI 2024)", and the“SMC Rising Star Outstanding Young Scholar”.
