Short Bio
Sen Zhou is an associate Professor, China Institute for Educational Finance Research, Peking University. Dr. Zhou earned her Ph.D. in International Comparative Education and the Economics of Education from Stanford University. Her primary research areas include higher education finance, the economics of higher education, and comparative education. Her research interests cover higher education fiscal policy, students' educational choices, student aid, innovation, and regional development. She specializes in the quantitative evaluation of education policies and programs, survey design and data analysis, as well as the analysis of longitudinal and spatial data. Her work has been published in international and domestic journals such as Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Economics of Education Review, and Peking University Education Review. She has led and participated in research projects commissioned by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and other government agencies.
