Short Bio

Jingran Yu is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education, Xiamen University, and an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Manchester. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Manchester. Her research explores global educational mobilities (including international student mobility and transnational education) through interdisciplinary perspectives drawn from education studies, sociology, and human geography. Her recent work focuses on China's transnational education and the global expansion of vocational education along the Belt and Road, with a particular interest in their geopolitical implications.
